Johanna Kremer, Nautilus Design

Johanna joined the Loveland artists community in August 2016 and operates a freelance graphic design business under Nautilus Communications & Design. She has a B.A. in English, an M.Ed. in ed. admin., and more than 20 years of marketing/communications experience in college and high school institutions. This fall, she will be attending the Art Academy of Cincinnati to pursue a B.F.A. in graphic arts communication.

Johanna Kremer began her career as a high school English teacher, but then followed a new direction when the superintendent asked her to become the district’s first communications coordinator. A year later she accepted an administrative role in communications and publications at the University of Cincinnati’s McMicken of Arts & Sciences.

Eventually, her career path led to Archbishop Moeller High School, where she served in several roles beginning in the fall of 1996, including alumni magazine designer/editor, journalism teacher/newspaper advisor, and marketing/communications director.

In July 2014, Johanna left her role as Moeller’s director of marketing and communications to serve as executor of her uncle’s estate in Columbus, OH. Now she freelances and is a new student of various crafts, particularly mosaic and stained glass, and looks forward to attending the Art Academy of Cincinnati to earn a B.F.A. in graphic arts communications.
