Dandy is about loving beautiful things, supporting local artisans and small business, and having a true passion for vintage...all while being kind to the earth! The idea of this line came about starting with my passion and love for old things. As a kid, I would spend hours watching old movies...they were a heavy influence on my own sense of fashion, my mentality, and how I viewed and romanticized life. I like the idea of taking something old and making it new again by recycling, renewing, reusing, and repurposing. My jewelry line is mostly composed of deconstructed vintage, and antique pieces....then reconstructed in a more modern way. The use of old photos, architectural items, keys, buttons, toys, and just about anything that has the potential to be reintroduced as jewelry! I also rescue things that I believe represent the feel that I am trying to give and include them in my collections and make them available to everyone! This includes Art, Vintage Fashion, and Home Decor. I am a big fan of French Renaissance, Victorian Era, Deco, and the Industrial Revolution...all of which you can see reference to in most of my pieces. Above all, it really does boil down to the fact that I am a romantic, and most of what I do comes from this!
